October 28, 2016  | 1 min read

The Pepperdine Chamber Choir will perform its Fall Concert tonight, Friday, October 28, at 7:30 PM at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art on the Malibu campus. Featuring sacred, mostly a cappella vocal music with a special focus on All Saints Day, several of the pieces will reflect on music's role as a form of solace, refuge, eulogy, mystery, and praise. Led by Ryan Board, director of choral activities, these themes will be presented through a stunning display of vocal agility, flexibility, power, and beauty showcasing the incredible talents of our Pepperdine students.

Composed of 27 singers made up primarily of music majors, the choir will present a beautiful and difficult program of music from a variety of styles and time periods.

The Pepperdine Chamber Choir is a highly-skilled performance-based ensemble that is comprised mostly of music majors. This ensemble prepares and performs a variety of challenging music for the smaller ensemble and tours both domestically and internationally. The Pepperdine Chamber Choir presents stand-alone performances regularly as a part of the Prague Choral Festival and Pepperdine's The Ascending Voice. Recent tours destinations include Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Texas, and Arkansas.
