Multi-platinum-selling country singer and songwriter Sara Evans will bring her empowering songs and life-affirming music to Smothers Theatre in Malibu on Thursday, September 22, at 8 PM. Opening for Evans will be up-and-coming Southern California-native country band Temecula Road.

Since emerging in the late 1990s, Evans has enjoyed a prolific recording career that has seen the sale of more then six million records, including four consecutive gold, platinum, or multiplatinum albums.

In 2014 Evans released her highly anticipated seventh studio album Slow Me Down, the title track creating her biggest first week Country radio-added single ever. The album was coproduced with Mark Bright, with whom Evans worked on her platinum-selling number one country album Real Fine Place in 2005.

Evans has received awards from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and has garnered nominations for two Grammy Awards, 10 American Country Awards, and five CMT Music Awards. She recently signed with the Nashville-based imprint Sugar Hill Records, and is currently working on her debut project for the label, scheduled for release in early 2017.

Ticket prices range between $10 and $75 and are required for attendance. For additional information about the performance, and to purchase tickets, visit the Pepperdine University page on the TicketForce website.
