Pepperdine University to Host Waves Weekend 2016

Pepperdine University Alumni Relations will host the seventh annual Waves Weekend, welcoming back hundreds of Seaver College graduates to the beachside Malibu campus to reconnect with family, friends, and faculty, and participate in a series of spiritual, social, and athletic events from Friday, October 14, to Sunday, October 16.

Highlights from the three-day weekend will include:

Friday

  • Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art: Altered Reality exhibition
  • President's Open House 
  • Madness Village
  • Blue & Orange Madness

Saturday

  • Ocean kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and surfing lessons 
  • Pepperdine sweethearts brunch and cooking class
  • Reunions celebrating the class years of 1986, 1996, 2006, and 2011
  • Pepperdine Ambassadors Council (PAC) reunion 
  • Waves Weekend concert, featuring platinum-selling artist with her popular hit “Fight Song,” Rachel Platten 

Sunday

  • Men's volleyball golf tournament 
  • University Church Bible classes, fellowship time, and worship service
  • Hung and Corinne Le's ’90s reunion
  • Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony and dinner
