Janie Bryant, Primetime Emmy Award-winning costume designer for the popular AMC television series Mad Men, will engage fans in a moderated question-and-answer session in the Surfboard Room at Payson Library on Thursday, April 5, at 4 PM.

Bryant will discuss her path to costume design, as well as the inspiration and research behind the iconic looks of Mad Men characters Don Draper, Joan Holloway, and other beloved favorites.

This event is part of a series of library events exploring the mid-century era from multiple perspectives, in coordination with Payson Library’s current exhibition, Pat Boone: America’s Favorite “Unrock” Star. Boone first captivated American audiences as a pop star in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and the exhibit pays homage to mid-century life and culture.
