Pepperdine University Graziadio School professor Dr. Darren Good was one of four co-authors in a recent article on workplace mindfulness in the highly prestigious London School of Economics Business Review. The article, “Mindfulness has big impacts for performance, decision making and career longevity”, was based on research in the Journal of Management. Dr. Good and his colleagues argue that cognitive upgrades – better attention, greater focus, and reduced bias – may result from brain changes caused by mindfulness practices. The evidence, according to Dr. Good and his colleagues, suggests that “mindfulness is a simple tool with deep impacts, and a free practice bringing great value to our work lives and workplaces.”
